Early Years

Les Chatons Nursery School offers a multicultural Early Years education and fosters children’s multi language fluency.

Our curriculum aims to set strong foundations to support children flourish in all the seven areas of learning, as outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The EYFS sets the standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. The EYFS framework supports an integrated approach to early learning and care and sets out the legislation for the delivery of early years’ education in the UK. All early years’ providers registered with Ofsted must follow the EYFS.

We blend the EYFS and our own programmes to create an educational methodology that allows children to become confident learners and positive participants of a multicultural, inclusive world.

Early Years education is the foundation upon which children build the rest of their lives.

It is a crucial stage of life in terms of children’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social development and well-being.

We aim to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment where all the children can develop their potential.

We ensure full access for all children to a broad and balanced curriculum delivered through active learning and first hand experiences following the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We provide a positive ethos in which all children are equally valued, irrespective of ability, disability, and gender, cultural or ethnic background.

We aim to work with you as a partnership in your child’s education to produce confident and independent children and we hope that your child will have a happy and successful time with us.
